my first celebrity siting was awesome. harrison ford. about 2 feet away. seriously! it was super random too. i was with stephanie and sarah, we were on our way to watch it’s complicated at northpark amc. we see a red carpet with tons of flashes and lights and apparently, harrison ford is there for a free screening of extraordinary measures.
he’s filing out of the movie theater with body guards, press people, etc. sarah tentatively asks “harrison, may we take a picture with you?” and i’m standing there in the front gawking like a school girl with my little camera (mind you, we are the only people standing out there) – but unfortunately, harrison turns and says “oh, i’m sorry kids, i have to do something” and walks away after giving a slight smile.
a huge reason why i enjoy the bible at all is for the poetry and elegance of writing. i think i should take up reading it again after i’m done with wicked.
also, this is what i looked like on nye… alone in my hotel room in tampa. at least i had sparkles. i couldn’t resist trying to look nice, even if it was only for me. the second pic is of me a year ago – surrounded by people i love.
i always forget to let you know when i’m gone. i’m bad at that – sorry. just got back today from tampa. had loads of fun. ate one good meal (thanks oystercatchers). had the most popular booth at the outback bowl. won $205 profit at the hard rock casino in 2 tries on slots. got soaking wet and had convulsions of shivers, but enjoyed the nwu vs auburn game very much. hung out with my awesome coworkers. had 3 white russians. experienced the new year riding passenger side in a kia sedona with surly patrick in silence. watched 500 days of summer – now one of my all time favorite movies and soundtracks.
all in all, awesome business trip. i filmed our amazing dinner at oystercatchers, so you can salivate and be jealous of the awesome seafood that you can’t have in dallas.
