the atx (22.52)

g and i drove down to austin friday evening (more like… g drove and i fell asleep – but what’s new?) and got in at a little past 11pm. was so tired from the day and i honestly don’t remember much from that night. being tired is worse than being drunk for me. haha :] no, but seriously, it is. =P put the chicken in the fridge for dinner sat night and went to bed.

woke up bright and early on sat to catch the georgetown farmer’s market in round rock at 8am. i love waking up oriana when she is groggy because she is funny and i like to think i’m torturing her. *evil* i LOVE farmer’s markets. my first experience was in london, but i didn’t really fully appreciate it since i couldn’t really buy much. but then i went to several with my mom in boston and had the most amazing raspberries. and now, with all the fresh veggies, plants, breads, pecans… i wanted to buy everything… and we kind of did from every vendor there. :] g and i even bought a tomato and jalapeno plant – so let’s hope they survive. tonight i’m cooking some of the yellow squash we bought and am excited to taste their freshness!

dropped things off at home then g and i went to ikea to buy nearly 20 more bamboo stalks and pots for the plants, then went buy the round rock outlets to look at their kitchen stores. went back home, changed, and met up my bro and his buds to play some ultimate frisbee (another change that i got to wake up the groggy oriana and torture her). i sucked as usual because i don’t like to run after the frisbee. i guess this was bad karma cause then i got hit in between the eyes from a flying frisbee (poor g felt so bad)… but at least my team mates were happy with my awesome defense.

went home, showered, then started prepping dinner with the help of g and the mother. i didn’t time this very well, especially with making two chickens in the same roasting pan, but ya know… dinner was only like, 1 hour late… HAHA. :] thanks for joining everyone and eating my food!

met up with jon (happy birthdayyyy) and jason at little woodrows for a quick catch-up. i couldn’t tell if i was tipsy from the wine and champagne i drank at dinner or if i was just that exhausted… but it was great seeing these two again and catching up on life. it’s always good to meet up with old friends. :]

sad saying goodbye to the pups on sunday (we are leaving them there while g and i embark on trip #1 – ORLANDO!) but they will be in good hands! g and i got back to dallas at 5:30 where we lounged watching the nba playoffs, ate dinner and then did some insanity/p90x abs.

i’m still tired… so will probably catch up on sleep tonight. which explains why this post is kind of all over the place. GOoDnigHT!
